Professor Emeritus at the University of Louisville, my native city, I’m a boomerang, having lived in Atlanta and Brooklyn. I began my academic career in Lawrence at the University of Kansas. Over the years, my interests have remained fairly constant: font design, calligraphic art, and semiotics with a design theory focus.
